There is a lot more diversity in the homeschooling community than you might expect from the mainstream view of it.
I suggest just getting to know felllow homeschoolers in your area, and don't worry too much about the political labels - you all love your kids and want to do what's best for them!
Besides, it's good for your kids to learn to deal with people who have different views. Yay! Diversity. :-)
I'm a liberal (oh horrors!) non-religious, peace lovin' homeschooler, but I'm friends with conservative, Christian, Bush-supportin' homeschoolers, and we manage to get along just fine. At least when we talk about the kids and not politics.;-)

Although most people who homeschool are "religious" (whatever that means) there are many who are not. There's quite a few "new-age" types who homeschool in California, Oregon, and Washington, from what I hear. Also some "intellectuals" around the big research labs (like Oak Ridge, Research Triangle, Los Alamos, etc.) who homeschool.

Nothing wrong with peace. I know of few who want it more than the brave soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who have done their part to preserve it. I wouldn't wish a liberal's home-schooling environment on anyone, however.

I'm sure that similar groups are everywhere in the United States. I guess there's nothing like broadening your horizons by shunning the war-mongers though.
