I started a new Home School Yahoo group for Somerset and I want to know what I have to do to make it more widely known.

Is there a way of advertising it so that search engines or other things (not good at technical terms!!) know we are here?!!

You didn't say how long ago you started the group. It can take months for them to show up in search engines because the search engines look for content.

If you know any home schoolers email them the link and ask them to email it to others in your area. If theres a homes group you know of ask the leader if she would like to advertise it. My home school group that I am in has a yahoo group its very helpful to use.
