Educationally, I think cyber school would be better. I can take a lot of honors courses (the aforementioned public school doesn't offer those), and they also offer a lot of extracurricular courses you wouldn't see in a lot of schools (Mandarin Chinese, C++ and Java, Microsoft Office Specialist, etc). I also like the school because they allow you to have an "individualized program of instruction," which basically means you have more freedom to pick and choose the classes you take. Plus, my teachers have all been insanely helpful -- believe it or not, I get more one-on-one interaction with cyber school teachers than I ever did with teachers in public schools.
However, I am moving, and where I am going, there are not a lot of people around (it is in the absolute middle of nowhere). This would make it REALLY hard to make friends. Thus, I think public school would be better from a social standpoint. I have heard from my sister (she used to go there) that they are really hard on "new kids," which concerns me, but I am sure I would be able to fit in somewhere. I am fairly confident socially, so I should be okay.
But I dunno. I am leaning toward cyber school -- I have college to think about! -- but I was wondering what you guys thought?
