The best part, for my family, is the fluidity of hsing. When my kids are itching to get out of their seats, they can. If they are not 'getting' a subject, for example fractions, we go about it a NEW way. Like baking, rather than paperwork. Plus, I don't have to ask someone to let me take my kids on vacation, prove that where we are going is educational etc. And we make everything a learning experience. They expect it, they have been homeschooled so long. When we see a bug, we talk about it's life cycle, habitat, predators etc. It's fun. My 9 year old reinforces things he learns, by teaching things to my 5 year old. That's always fun. Or if I know someone, say an aunt or a neighbor, that loves a subject, like banking or biology or even knitting, they get to be teachers! So fun. I love homeschooling.

The best part of home-schooling would probably be knowing your kids are safe and not worrying about them.

I like doing it because I don't have to worry about them as much and peer pressure isn't as huge. The girls like the fact that their school day is only 4 hrs long( for the state of GA) and they get to start school at noon so it gives then a chance to sleep in or do their homework when they get up so they get enough rest.

For me, the best part is watching the kids grow and learn according to their own inner compass. They're not being processed through the standard grind, but they have a say in their own education. They become self-directed learners who don't need to be spoon-fed information.

your kid gets to work at his/her own pace, there is nop pressure on them from other kids or teachers, my school had a lot of problems with drugs and guns, homeschooling you don't have that. But to make sure your kid doesn't become a loner in later life you have to make sure to ask around to other people who are homeschooling their kids and schedule a once a week or so interactive thing to build team work and social skills

My sister found a group of people that she didn't know, that had a homeschool thing together at this church, she loved it, their graduation class was 7 people you could talk to some people about starting one of those

Make up your hours, sleep how ever long you want to sleep, eat what you want, work how only a couple classes at a time instead of 7 classes in a day.
